There is very little or we can say special kind of footballers to have a move named after them.

There’s the Johan Cruyff’s Cruyff turn.

The Robbie Carlos’s banana free-kick.

The Cristiano’s knuckleball.

But there is one special and one of its kind moves, which is so directly connected with one player. This move doesn’t even need to have his name attached to it. We are talking about, The Scorpion Kick and invented by Rene Higuita.

The Colombian outrageous goalkeeper performed the world’s maddest save against England in 1995. He is using his “eccentric” method to stop England team player Jamie Redknapp’s free-kick.
